About the Course

Every architect has a first canvas, and Los Arqueros was Severiano Ballesteros's — the very first course he ever designed, opened in 1991 in the hills above Benahavís. You can already see the ideas that would define his later work: strategic risk-and-reward off the tee, greens that reward imagination over mechanical precision, and a layout that genuinely tests both beginners and low-handicap regulars without ever feeling unfair. The mountain scenery is properly dramatic, with the White Village of Benahavís visible from several holes, and the course's slope rating confirms what your scorecard will tell you afterwards — this one bites. A must-play for anyone who wants to trace the roots of Seve's course design career back to where it started.
