Miraflores has quietly built one of the better reputations on the coast for delivering a properly fair test without a five-star price tag. Designed by Folco Nardi and opened in 1990 in the rolling hills of Calahonda, roughly midway between Fuengirola and Marbella, it's the kind of course regulars recommend to friends rather than the one splashed across glossy brochures — and 88% of players say they'd happily play it again, which tells its own story. The layout rewards good course management over raw power, with enough movement in the terrain to keep things interesting without punishing you for a single loose shot. Twilight rates after 5pm in summer make it one of the best-value late rounds anywhere on the Costa del Sol.

Miraflores sits just off the old Cádiz road (Ctra. de Cádiz) in Riviera del Sol, between Fuengirola and Marbella. From Málaga Airport, take the AP-7 motorway westbound and exit at Mijas Costa / Calahonda (around 35 minutes). The course is signposted from the coastal road, with free parking on site.
